google books

so google has officially announced their plans to expand their book search into an all out book downloading fiesta. they are having trouble getting publishers to agree, but eventually i think they will convince them with all their googley goodness. online books are good for whenever you need to read a book that's hard to find, or perhaps you crave reading only after the library is closed, but to a book collector like myself, it takes away from the whole physical book collection thing. perhaps i'll get all my books in google format and upload them to my ipod, a la my cd collection?
