cheapness

So Microsoft has announced that the Zune (their iPod rival) will cost $229.99, which is $10 cheaper than the newly announced price on iPods. The Zune has a 3'' color screen for movie/tv watching. It also features an FM radio, and a wifi connection, which will allow users to listen to other users songs for 3 days before downloading. It'll be available in black, white or brown (why brown, I don't know... at least it's not pink i guess). There are rumors that future Zunes will include a camera similar to the ones in cell phones today. The way I see it, Apple does need a serious competitor in the mp3 player market. Granted, Microsoft is practically a monopoly on computers, but just imagine what competition will drive Apple to do... and I'm just an excited semi-techie waiting till her iPod dies to see what she'll buy next...
